As Far As We Can Go by Ringo Starr - ***

First released: 1983

One of Ringo’s better ballads from the "Old Wave" album. Some may think it really sappy, but I like it. A demo version was also released on the CD reissue of the album in 1994. The original version used to actually make me cry.

"As Far As We Can Go" is a very good song. Ringo can take what might be a sappy tune with so-so lyrics and make it his own. The OLD WAVE album is one of the best "lost" albms out there. Some goodies from it are "Picture Show Life", "Alibi" & "In My Car". Produced by Jow Walsh, this album is not to be missed.
